Activities

In the Case Management IMG, perform the following activities in the specified order:

  1. Create an attribute profile for each of the levels that you created in the Define Levels step.

You create user attributes for each of the case types. You can specify a table for an attribute profile, in which the attributes are stored. This table contains the case technical key (CASE GUID) as well as the application-specific attributes. The attributes can originate from the SCMG_T_CASE_ATTR standard table or from application-specific tables.

Process the activities in Create Attribute Profile.

  2. Create a status profile for the relevant levels.

Process the activity Set Up Status Management -> Create Status Profile. You only need to process this activity if you want to use status management.

  3. Create the RMS ID (Record Management Space ID) and the SPS ID (Service Provider Space ID) for each element or create your own service provider.

Create your own RMS ID, since each application in the process object framework requires its own RMS ID. Define the element types for the various types of content. The process object framework supports the element types document, BOR object, case and note.

Process the activity Set Up Registry (transaction SRMREGEDIT). For more information, see the documentation for this IMG activity.

  4. In the Knowledge Provider Administration (transaction KPRO), using the Document Modeling Workbench (transaction DMWB), create a document class and a memory space for the documents.

You only need to perform this transaction if you want to create your own document class. In this case, transfer the settings from the Case Management standard document class. You can also define your own attributes for a document class and fill these attributes at runtime.

  5. Create your own function profile.

You define the permitted functions and the permitted case components for a particular case type.

Process the activities in Create Function Profile.

  6. Create a case record model for each level.

This sets the type and arrangement of the objects in the case record.

You can define your own relationships in transaction SRMREGEDIT. To do this you need a unique namespace for each user for the related relationship types. The relationship types have a two-digit register code (relation ID). There is no set namespace for the anchor.

Process the activity Create/Change Case Record Model.

  7. Create the text IDs and text profile.

The text profile is assigned to a case type. You can define various text IDs and link them to the text profile. These text IDs are then available as possible values when you create notes.

Process the activities in Create Text Profile.

  8. Create the case types for each level.

The case type classifies cases and contains various Customizing settings such as the attribute profile.

Process the activities in Define Case Types.
