Use
In this IMG activity, you specify which additional fields are displayed and processed for which time events in the Web application. As additional fields, you can choose from all the fields that are available for time events in the time data maintenance functions (PA61 and TMW).
You group the additional fields in a field selection. You can assign the field selection based on the time event type. This means that employees only see the fields on the screen that are relevant for the time event they are processing. You define the field selection independently of the time events, which means that you can assign one field selection to more than one time event.
Activities
Choose the Overview of Time Event Types activity to obtain an overview of the additional fields required for the individual time event types.
Choose the Define Field Selection activity.
Choose New Entries.
Create a field selection and choose ENTER.
You should try to make the name of the field selection and your label easily identifiable.
Select the field selection, and double-click Field Customizing in the dialog structure.
Choose Select Fields.
Select the fields you want to display. Field help is available for the fields in the list. You can toggle in the list between the technical field name and the field label.
Choose Continue.
Specify whether the field is a required-input field.
If required, enter an alternative text to be displayed for the field in the Web application. In the standard system, the field label is taken from the Data Dictionary.
Save your data.
Choose the Assign Field Selection to Time Event Types activity.
Enter the time event types for which you want additional data to be provided, and assign the required field selection.
