Use

In this activity, you specify the layout of the calendar for clock-in/out corrections.

The calendar in the Clock-In/Out Web application always displays one week. You can specify the first day of the week to be displayed and the layout of the visible part of the day (time frame). The visible part of the day consists of the following elements:

  • The scale of a cell (the period (in hours/minutes) that a cell represents)
  • The first clock time displayed
  • The number of rows

The length of time represented by a cell does not affect how many clock- in/out entries can be displayed in it. If there are multiple clock-ins/outs for a cell, the system automatically enlarges the cell.

If required, you can specify the visible part of the day in line with the employees period work schedule. This enables you to display within one rule group, calendars in which different parts of the day are visible. This is useful if employees within one rule group have different shift patterns, for example.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. For each rule group, enter the day of the week you want to be displayed as the first day of the week in the calendar.
  2. Enter the calendar scale, that is, the length of time represented by each cell in the calendar.
  3. Enter the time frame (that is, the part of the day) that is displayed when a user accesses the calendar.

If you choose a fixed time frame, proceed as follows:

    1. Enter the first clock time that is displayed when a user accesses the calendar.
    2. Enter the number of rows you want to be displayed.
  4. Specify whether you want to display time pairs and attendances and absences on the Web application.

If you choose the time frame based on the period work schedule, the following fields are automatically hidden. Proceed as follows:

    1. Select your entry.
    2. Double-click Calender acc. to personal work schedule.
    3. Enter the required rule group and the period work schedule.
    4. Enter the first clock time to be displayed. If you have rotating shift patterns, it makes sense to enter 00:00 and use a correspondingly large scale.
    5. Enter the number of rows you want to be displayed when users access the Web application.

      Note

The number of rows should enable employees to see the entire working day at a glance, without having to scroll. If required, change the scale of the calendar to provide an optimum overview.

Example

You choose a scale of 60 minutes, the first clock time as 07:00, and 12 rows to be displayed.

The application now displays 12 cells for each day, which each represent one hour. The resulting time frame is from 7a.m. until 7p.m.
