Use
In this IMG activity, you create subtypes for the infotype 1516 (financing status for positions) for budget creation in the component Funds Management. These subtypes automatically apply to the infotype 0724 (financing status for persons). Budget creation is based on the Budget Control System (BCS) of Funds Management.
The system saves the budget you created in the application in these subtypes. There are a number of options for budget creation:
- If you want to create budget for a particular position or person, call the function Create Budget on the tab page Budget in Change Organization and Staff Assignment.
- If you want to create budget for a particular employee, call the infotype financing status (IT 0724) in personnel master data maintenance and then the function Create Budget.
- If you want to create budget for a particular position, select the position in Change Organization and Staff Assignment and then navigate to object maintenance. Select the infotype financing status (IT 1516) there and then choose the function Create Budget.
- If you want to create budget for several positions/employees, call Budget Creation - Free Selection in the menu of Position Budgeting and Control.
Requirements
If you want to create budget in Funds Management you must have installed at least SAP ECC 5.0, Human Resources Extension (EA-HR 500) and Public Services (EA-PS 500) with the component Budget Control System. These components must either run in one system or be linked using ALE. You can find information on ALE linkage under Settings Required for Distributed Systems.
Standard settings
SAP does not deliver any standard settings.
Note:
The subtype ' ' (commitment) is a prerequisite for commitment creation in Position Budgeting and Control and cannot be deleted if you implement automatic commitment creation.
Activities
To define subtypes for budget creation:
- Select New Entries.
- Enter 1516 in the field Infotype and define a key for the subtype.
- Enter a description in the field subtype text.
- Choose Save.
- Select the new entry, enter the object type S and the time constraint 1 or 2.
- Choose Save.
- In the next step, you have to define how the budget information from Position Budgeting and Control should be stored in Funds Management. See the IMG activity Define Budgeting Information for Data Transfer from Position Budgeting Control.
