Use

In this IMG activity, you adapt the feature PBC01 (Determine Detail Variant for Data Collection Individually). In this process you assign the detail variant/s you created in the IMG activity Create Detail Variant and Link to Filter Values to the feature as a return value. This means that you can, for example, enter a detail variant for each personnel area.

Requirements

At least one detail variant is entered in the IMG activity Create Detail Variant and Link to Filter Values.

Standard settings

SAP does not deliver any standard settings.

Activities

To adapt feature PBC01 to your requirements:

1. Execute the IMG activity.
2. Navigate to the decision tree of the feature.
3. Change the decision tree according to your requirements. Read the documentation of the feature (Goto -> Documentation).
4. Select Check for the system to check the feature for errors.
5. If no errors were found during the check, select Generate.
6. Select Save to save the feature you have just changed.

Example

You want to use the detail variant DC0001 for data collection for people and positions assigned to personnel area 0001 and detail variant DC_PCP for all other people and positions. You have already created these detail variants in the IMG activity Create Detail Variant and Link to Filter Values.

1. Navigate to the decision tree of the feature
2. Place the cursor on feature PBC01 and select Create Nodes.
3. Select Field for Decision Operation and then Continue.
4. Select the field WORKS and then Transfer.
5. Place the cursor on the field WORKS and select Create Nodes.
6. Select the personnel area 0001 and then Continue.
7. Place the cursor on personnel area 0001 and select Create Nodes.
8. Select return value and then Continue.
9. Select the detail variant DC0001 and choose Continue.
10. Place the cursor on the value "other" and select Create Nodes.
11. Select return value and then Continue.
12. Select the standard detail variant DC_PCP and then Continue.
