Use

In this IMG activity, you define the alternative valuations, that should be used in the area organizational management for public services. This may be necessary, for example, if the valuation that should be used with the position is different to the one displayed in the personnel budget plan.

To store data for alternative valuations, define one or a number of subtypes in the infotype alternative valuations (infotype 1511).

Note:
Infotype 1511 is only delivered as a country-specific infotype for Germany.

Requirements

Standard settings

SAP delivers the following subtypes for alternative valuations in the area organizational management for public services:

The CAFPS subtype is different to the other subtype in the field control.

Note:
The subtypes 0011 to 0014 are used for "TBR" notes. You can find more information on this under Define "To be Reclassified" Notes.

Activities

To define alternative valuations:

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Enter 1511 in the field infotype and define a key for the subtype (the customer name space is between 9000 and 9999).
  3. Enter a description in the field subtype text.
  4. Choose Save.
  5. Select the new entry, enter the object type S and the time constraint 2.
  6. Choose Save.
  7. To define that the subtype created is an alternative valuation, you have to include it in the list of alternative valuations. You can do this in the IMG activity Define Characteristics of Alternative Valuations.

Example

You want to create an alternative valuation in which a valuation used with an employee position should be defined. Since you do not need any specific pay scale fields for the valuation of employee positions, you want to hide these fields for the alternative valuation.

Instructions for this example:

  1. You create the user-defined alternative valuation actual valuation employee job, for example, as subtype 9990 in the IMG activity Define Alternative Valuation.
  2. Add this subtype to the list of alternative valuations and define the characteristics you want for it in the IMG activity Define Characteristics for Alternative Valuation.
  3. In the IMG activity Assign Variable Key to Field Control, create a variable key such as B for the alternative valuation actual valuation employee job. To do this, copy an existing entry, change the variable key to B and hide all specific pay scale fields.
  4. In the IMG activity Assign Variable Key to Subtypes, assign the variable key B to the subtype 9990. To do this, place the cursor on the field SUBTY and choose Help -> Create Interval Value. Enter 9990 as the interval value. Then place the cursor on 9990, choose Create and select return value as the node type. Choose Continue and enter the return value B in the following screen.
