Use

In this IMG activity, you define from which infotype the pay scale valuation for budget structure elements and positions should be carried out and how the system is to determine the default value. You have the following options:

  • The pay scale valuation is carried out using infotype 1005 (General Fields) or 1514 (Additional Fields for Germany). The pay scale valuation has to be saved in this infotype for you to be able to use automatic commitment creation or Personnel Cost Planning to determine personnel commitment.
This setting is delivered by SAP.
If a pay scale range is entered for the pay scale valuation of a budget structure element or of a position, here you can determine which value (highest, lowest or mean value) the system is to use to determine the default value.
If you have been using the HR Funds and Position Management component up until now and have saved the pay scale valuation in the infotype 1501, you can convert the data by means of the IMG activity Convert Infotype 1501 to Infotypes 1005 and 1514.
  • The pay scale valuation is carried out using infotype 1501. If you are using the HR Funds and Position Management component and wish to continue saving the pay scale valuation in this infotype, you have to enter the value 1501 for the combination HRFPM/INFTY in this IMG activity.

Standard settings

SAP deliers the pay scale valuation in infotype 1005 (General Fields) and 1514 (Additional Fields for Germany), in other words, the combination HRFPM/INFTY contains the value 1005. The combination HRFPM/DEFVA, which contains the value for determining the default value, is preset with the value L; the system thus uses the lowest value of a pay scale group to determine default values. For further information, see under Maintenance of Default Values in the Implementation Guide.

Activities

  1. In this IMG activity, enter the value 1501 for the combination HRFPM/INFTY if the pay scale valuation is to be saved in this infotype.
The combination HRFPM/DEFVA for default value determination is not relevant for infotype 1501, since pay scale ranges are mapped using special pay scale groups here. For further information, see Define Special Pay Scale Groups for Infotype 1501.
  2. To ensure that the tab pages of the infotypes 1005/1514 are not displayed when the personnel budget plan is processed using the hierarchy framework, you have to enter the tab page IT1501 for the scenario PBC and for the object types BU (budget structure element) and S (position) in the IMG activity Hide/Show Tab Page. To suppress the tab page for the infotypes 1005/1514 from the screen, enter the tab page PBC_RATE for the scenario PBC and the objet types BU and S there and set the Exclude Tab Page indicator.
