In this step, you determine the minimum withholding tax amount for your employee. You specify a value for the constant MINTX in the Payroll Constants view (V_511P_B). When an employer absorbs tax for the full-cycle (full-cycle grossup), it may happen that there is a very minor difference in the actual tax calculated and the grossed up tax amount. This difference is to be paid by the employee. If this difference in tax amounts is less than the minimum withholding tax amount stored in the constant MINTX, then this difference is ignored and is not reported.
Example
For an employee, if the employer absorbed tax for full-cycle grossup is 200 THB and the actual tax calculated is 200.05 THB, then the employee has to pay the difference of 0.05 THB as tax. This amount is compared with the value stored in the constant MINTX. If this amount is greater than the value stored in the constant, then this amount is reported as tax to be paid by the employee. If this amount is less than the value stored in the constant, then this amount is ignored and the employee doesn't pay any tax for the period.
