In this step, you define the minimum net amount that an employee must take home each payroll period.
To calculate the guaranteed take-home pay and the net amount available for non-statutory deductions, you apply a percentage to the employee's statutory net pay, that is, his or her gross salary less all statutory deductions for the period.
If the resulting net amount is no longer large enough to allow for a deduction, the system transfers either the entire deduction or a portion of the deduction to arrears to be deducted in the following period.
Example
An employer can guarantee a minimum net pay of 50% of an employee's statutory net.

The standard system contains a sample percentage rate that can be modified to meet your requirements.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you check for any legal minimum net pay requirements valid at the time of implementation, and ensure that the minimum net pay percentage is legally compliant.
