To calculate an employee's 13th month pay based on the employee's basic salary on a specific date, the 13th Month Pay program (HPHCAWS0) checks all the employee's additional payment wage types to determine if any of them have been configured to contribute to the employee's basic salary for 13th month payment purposes.
In this step, you select the additional payment wage types that will be used to calculate 13th month payments. To do this, you enter the appropriate specification against evaluation class 10 (Wage type assignment for statements) for each wage type.

You must have set up your additional payment wage types in the step Create Wage Type Catalog under the Basic Settings section of Customizing for Payroll Philippines.
Standard settings
The standard system contains model SAP wage types that are configured to be included in basic pay calculations for 13th month payments. If necessary, modify the wage types to meet your requirements.
Recommendation
Activities
To include additional payment wage types in the basis amount for 13th month calculations, you:
- Select the relevant wage type.
- Enter specification 01 (Wage type to be considered as base in 13th month pay calculation) against evaluation class 10.
To exclude additional payment wage types from the basis amount for 13th month calculations, you:
- Select the relevant wage type.
- Set the specification against evaluation class 10 to blank (Wage type is not included in 13th month pay calculation).
