Use
Data can be exchanged with the health insurance funds and the German central storage office (ZSS - ELENA) using different processes. Depending on the process, HTTP, HTTPS, or e-mail are available.
For HTTP or HTTPS, the encrypted reporting data is added to an XML file and this is transferred to the communication server of the GKV or the communication server of the ZSS (ELENA).
During the email process, the data is sent to the receiving offices of the health insurance funds as attachment files. A request file and a processing data file are also generated. The processing data file is signed and encoded by email. The ITSG provides the structure of the email and the name of the attached files.
Two different procedures are available for the signature and encryption:
PKCS#7 with SAPCryptolib
PEM # Only for DEUEV notifications, statement of contributions paid, and statement of earnings health insurance funds (each can only be sent via email). Note: We hereby advise you that the encryption technology PEM is supported by the receiving offices in the German health care system (Deutsches Gesundheitswesen) only until June 30, 2010.
