Use

In this Customizing activity, you specify how the system is to adjust the absence type in existing absences. The system can adjust an existing record in the Absences (2001) infotype during the comparison process if the following conditions apply:

  • Infotype 2001 contains an absence.
  • The Illness Reporting from EDLA A infotype (3248) contains an illness notification.
  • The absence type in infotype 2001 does not match the reason for the incapacity to work in infotype 3248.

In the comparison process, the system proposes a suitable new absence type for the existing record in infotype 2001. The proposed absence type depends on both the reason for the incapacity to work in infotype 3248 and on the absence type specified to date in infotype 2001.

Activities

For every combination of reason for incapacity to work (infotype 3248) and absence type (infotype 2001), specify which new absence type the system is to propose for the record in infotype 2001.

For the grouping, use the number(s) that you have specified in the Customizing activity Define Grouping for Conflict Resolution Strategies.

Example

  • If an illness notification due to illness and an absence of type Doctor's Appointment (0200) exist, the system should propose Illness (0300) as the new absence type.
  • If an illness notification due to an industrial accident and an absence of type Doctor's Appointment (0200) exist, the system should propose Industrial Accident (0400) as the new absence type.
