In this IMG activity you can check the following Customizing settings that concern the Update Types, for each company code, before the initialization of the parallel valuation areas:
the assignment of the corresponding loan flow types to the update types (defined under Assign Loan Flow Types to Update Types)
the allocation of a posting specification to the update types (defined in the Customizing settings for Treasury and Risk Management under Define Account Determination -> Assignment of Update Types to Posting Specifications )
Note: Using this activity you can let the system generate update types, (the settings for the activities Define Update Types, Assign Update Types to Applications and Assign Loan Flow Types to Update Types).

Specify a Company Code and choose Execute.
The system displays the relevant loan flow types for loans given and loans taken, structured by business operation. For each flow the system displays the flow category defined under Define Flow Types, the activity indicator, the flow type and the contract type.
If the corresponding flow type has been assigned to the update types, the update type is displayed. If a posting specification has been assigned to the update types, the posting specification is also specified here.
If these assignments have been made in Customizing for each flow, the traffic light icon for the flow is green. However, if any of the settings are missing, a red traffic light icon is displayed. If this is the case, you need to let the system generate the missing settings for the update types automatically using the button Add Customizing for Update Types and if necessary assign the posting specification manually. The traffic light icon for a business operation will only display status green when the icons for all of the flows for that business operation are green. The Customizing settings concerned are then correct when the traffic light icons for all of the business operations, and consequently loans given and loans taken, are green.
