In this section, for information purposes, the system displays the initialization date per company code from which the parallel valuation areas are actively filled by Loans Management.
The initialization date field has the following dual purpose:
- The field controls whether the update of the parallel valuation areas is activated for Loans Management (the field contains a date entry) or not (the field is empty).
- The field also controls, provided that a date has been entered, from which key date the parallel valuation areas are supplied with individual business operations from Loans Management.
The date in the initialization field is set using the transaction Initialization of the Parallel Valuation Valuation Areas ( Transaction TPM_initialize) and you cannot enter or change the date in this field. The data can be read only.
Caution: The date field has to be empty as long as the parallel valuation areas have not been set to initial value with loan positions.
As soon as the date is set, the system updates changes to loan positions in the parallel valuation areas. If errors occur here ( due to incorrect Customizing settings, for example) these will also directly affect loans functions. In other words, if errors occur you cannot change or create loan contracts, for example.
