Use
In this IMG (Implementation Guide) activity you create one or more planning scenarios. You create scenarios for each planning context, in other words if you have created several planning contexts, you must create a planning scenario for each of them. However, you can reuse the names of your scenarios in different planning contexts, for example you can call all your scenarios 001 and Standard Scenario.
If you want to directly compare the effects of different planning assumptions and measures on the future cost situation in your enterprise, you are advised to create several planning scenarios for each planning context. Creating several planning scenarios makes it easier for you to display planning results in a comparable form after performing planning runs.
Requirements
You have performed the IMG activity Create Planning Contexts.
Standard settings
The view corresponds to a customer view.
Activities
- Enter a planning context and choose Continue.
When you call the IMG activity a dialog box appears in which you enter the planning context for which you want to create planning scenarios. Then the system displays the view V_TTHCP_SCEN (Scenarios for Personnel Cost Planning).
- Create the planning scenarios you require for the planning context you entered.
- Perform the IMG activity again until you have created planning scenarios for all planning contexts.
Example
You want to compare the following effects on the future cost situation in your enterprise:
- What are the worst-case effects of the assumptions and measures on the cost situation?
For this you can create a worst-case scenario.
- How do the assumptions and measures affect the cost situation if you perform well established measures?
For this you can create a standard scenario.
When you have performed a planning run in the system for each planning scenario, you can compare the effects on the cost side. From the comparison you can see how far your planning corresponds to the planned cost development, and what the scope of your planning should be. For example, if the standard scenario differs greatly from your planned cost development, you can perform a new planning run for the standard scenario with new planning values.
