Use

In this IMG (Implementation Guide) activity you assign cost items to (G/L) accounts by means of symbolic accounts. You do this for each chart of accounts. From the point of view of Controlling, cost types correspond to (G/L) accounts.

In this IMG activity you create additional entries for symbolic accounts that you use for personnel cost planning purposes.

In some circumstances the assignment to (G/L) accounts depends on the employee grouping.

Requirements

You have performed the following IMG activities:

• Create Cost Items
• Cost Object Grouping for Account Determination: Check Values
• Assign Cost Object Grouping for Account Determination

In addition you must have created the (G/L) accounts in Controlling as cost elements.

Standard settings

The view corresponds to a customer view.

Activities

1. Select a chart of accounts.
2. Create assignments from symbolic accounts to the (G/L) accounts.

For Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation you should not usually have to make any changes, for example to existing assignments.

Notes

Note that you must perform this IMG activity in the Accounting system.

If, for example, you want to change existing assignments between symbolic counts and (G/L) accounts, or you want to change rules, you should only make the changes in consultation with employees in the posting department for payroll results, since changes influence actual posting.
