Use

In this Implementation Guide (IMG) activity, you use a wizard to configure and tune the parameters for the search engine and text mining engine.

Note
Configuration using this wizard is not required. If a specific index is not configured, a default value will be used automatically.

The three major processes that are impacted by these parameters are:

  • Search index compilation

    To provide a search capability and to utilize the search engine's efficient retrieval and advanced search methods, the document contents must be compiled into a searchable index.

  • Document clustering

    The text mining engine can analyze document content and group together documents with similar contents into the same class.

  • Document classification

    New documents can be classified against existing classes that have been created in document clustering. This allows an analyzed structure to adapt to new information.

  3. Assign Tuning Parameters for Indexing Service
  4. Assign Tuning Parameters for Clustering Service

  7. Schedule Background Job for Delta Compilation
