Use

In this IMG activity, you create wrappers and sources to identify additional business objects that cannot easily be determined and included in the activity clipboard. This is needed when there are several views or object types that are contained in one business object. The wrappers and sources help specify which one of the business views you want as an available entry.

You only need to maintain this activity if the business object is not already defined as a standard activity clipboard entry in Define Activity Clipboard Profile or if a standard entry is not defined in this activity.

Requirements

You have a basic understanding of the Business Object Layer (BOL) and Business Object Repository (BOR).

Standard settings

There are default wrappers, sources, and profiles available.

Activities

  1. Define wrappers and sources.

    The wrappers and sources are independent of the activity clipboard technical profiles.

  2. Define activity clipboard technical profiles.
  3. Assign wrappers and sources to the activity clipboard technical profile.
  4. Save.
  5. Assign the activity clipboard technical profile to the activity clipboard profile.

    (The DEFAULT profile is automatically assigned to the activity clipboard profile when a new activity clipboard profile is created.)

Example

The business transaction (BTOrder) is a business object type that contains several object types, or wrapped objects, such as leads and service orders. Wrappers and sources identify the leads or service orders, so only those objects are included in the activity clipboard.
