In this step, you define the country groupings used in your system. You can find a complete list of available country groupings in table T500L Personnel Country Grouping). You can modify this list by using table T500L_CUST (Customer View of table T500L).
You have the following options:
- You can delete entries from table T500L_CUST. This reduces the number of entries displayed in the Country Grouping list field. This means that only the relevant groupings are available to all users throughout the system. This makes it easier for the user to select the correct country grouping.
- You can also select additional country groupings from T500L, which are not included in the standard T500L_CUST table.
Example
In your system, you want to use the country groupings for the USA, Canada, and Costa Rica within your HR component. Delete all entries in the Customer View of Table T500L, except the following:
- USA
- Canada
- Other countries
In addition, you must create an entry for Costa Rica.
Requirements
Standard settings
Table T500L_CUST is delivered with all entries in table T500L from release 4.6B.
Recommendation
SAP recommends restricting the number of entries in table T500L_CUST, to simplify the selection of the correct country grouping.
Ensure that the Other countries entry is not deleted from the table.
Activities
In the Customer View of Table T500L, you have the following options:
- Delete any unnecessary entries.
- Add additional entries.

T500L_CUST is a cross-client table, and has delivery class G.
