Use
In this Customizing activity, you define authorization groups for your divison of interest (DOI). Authorization groups are used to categorize similar objects from the point of view of authorizations.

Create the authorization groups for your DOI.
Example
You have two network object types, Production Network and Well. There is a series of material in the system for both the network object types.
If you want to ensure that user 'A' can only process material of Production Network, and user 'B' can only process material from the Well:
- Define two authorization groups and assign these to the two users 'A' and 'B' in their user master record.
- Assign the network objects to the two authorization groups.
The two users can then only process objects from their own user network object.
Notes
If no authorization group is entered in an object, the check is not carried out. If this is the case, the user can process the object.
On the similar concept you can assign the authorization group to DOI and transfer of DOI master records.
