On the R/2 side, you must maintain the following tables by using the transaction TM31:

  • T242S

    Maintain sender structure

    This table stores the respective sender structure for every sender program (or data collection program) that collects movement data from R/2.

    Tables T242I and T241S are then automatically maintained as well and must therefore be available in the target system, i.e., in R/3.

  • T242T

    Maintain the sender structure for the master data texts

    Here, you must make the following entries:

    • Name of the sender program (or data collection program)
    • Target system (transfer path)
    • Language field name (user-defined)
    • Sender field name (user-defined)
    • Type and length of sender field
    • Name of receiver field
    • Length of text field
  • T2420

    Maintain the CPIC control parameters

    Maintain the following fields for a paramter group (e.g., CPIC):

    • QABAP     R/3 receiver program
      • always: SAPFKCIM
    • QAPPL     target system
      • e.g., C11
    • QDEST     LU (Logical Unit)
      • e.g., CK9F
    • QDPAS     CPIC password
    • QDUSR     CPIC user in R/3
    • QMAND     client in target system
    • QMODU     R/3 receiver routine:

      • RECEIVE_AND_TRANSFER     with movement data
      REC_AND_TRANS_TEXTS     with master data texts
      IMS_REC_AND_TRANS     with DC system IMS
