The data source for collecting R/2 data in production is the production order.

Currently, the following report is used to collect data in production from R/2:

Report     Transfer path     Sender structure

RMCFSFIS     CPIC     MCSFI

The report RMCFSFIS reads the production orders from the log database, interprets them for LIS and transfers the statistically relevant information into the R/3 system by using a sender structure.

Note

Data transfer cannot be done as a background job using CPIC.

For that reason, you must start the respective reports for collecting R/2 data online.

Activities

  1. In the field Sender program, specify the name of the respective data collection reports.
  2. In the field Transfer path, specify either CPIC or FILE depending upon the data collection report.
  3. Check the field R/2 - R/3 communication to activate the link between the R/2 and R/3 system.
  4. In the field Variant sender program, specify a selection variant for the respective data collection report.

    This entry is only necessary if a data collection program is to be executed as a background job.

  5. If a data collection program is scheduled as a background job, you must set the indicator in the field Batch start.
  6. Execute the start program for the data collection report.
