The data source for collecting R/2 data in purchasing are the individual statistics EKSE of the R/2 Purchasing Information System.
Currently, use the following reports for collecting purchasing data from the R/2 system:

RMCEEKSN CPIC MCEKS / MCEKS_S
RMCEEKSS CPIC MCEKS / MCEKS_S
Hinweis
Data collection via CPIC cannot be done as a background job.
For that reason you must start the corresponding report for collecting R/2 data online.
Activities
- If you are using the R/2 Release 5.0G (or greater), you must first maintain the table T165D by using the transaction TM31 this way:
Set the indicator "R/2 - R/3 - link" on active (= "x").
If you are using the R/2 Release 5.0F, you must place an "x" on the field "LIS" in the Assembler program SAPVBES in module VESDEFIS and then recompile the program SAPVBES.
- Start the report RMCEEKSN, in which you specify the name (as described in point 4) in the field "Sender program".
The R/3 statistics will be set up from R/2 data using this program.
The program selects the data from the EKSE by using the company code and posting period and transfers them into the R/3 system.
- Start the program RMCEEKSS in periodic intervals, whereby you specify the name (as described in point 4) in the field "Sender program".
This program transfers only data that was changed or added since the last data transfer into R/3 took place. Table TMCNR is thereby interpreted into R/2.
- In the field Sender program, specify the name of the respective data collection report.
- In the field Transfer path, specify either CPIC or FILE, depending upon the data collection report.
- Check the field R/2 - R/3 communication to activate the link between the R/2 and R/3 system.
- In the field Variant sender program, specify a selection variant for the respective data collection report.
This entry is only necessary if a data collection program is to be done as a background job.
- If you schedule a data collection program as a background job, you must set the indicator in the field Batch start.
- Execute the start program for the data collection report.
Note
- In the R/2 - R/3 link in the Purchasing Information System (PURCHIS), updating is only done for the update group "000011".
Take this note into consideration in the update definition for self-defined information structures.
- Which key figures are updated in the R/2 - R/3 link within the scope of the Purchasing Information System (PURCHIS) for the standard information structures S011 (purchasing groups) and S012 (purchasing) can be found in the update rules of these information structures for update group "000011".
