Use
In this IMG activity, you can control the link between absence types and workflow templates for the Leave Request Web application. You use the WEBMO feature to do this.
You set the link between absence types and workflow templates in Customizing for Personnel Time Management by choosing Web Applications -> Leave Request -> Link Absence Types and Workflow Templates and entering absence types in the V_T554S_WEB2 view. You can delimit the validity period of the entries in the V_T554S_WEB2 view and make different settings for individual personnel subarea groupings. If you want to make additional settings dependent on your employees organizational attributes, you can use the WEBMO feature.
Example
You use the leave type Illness w/o certificate for two different groups of employees. While the first group of employees may use the leave type without approval, the second group requires their manager's approval for it.
To reflect this requirement in Customizing, make two entries for the Illness w/o certificate leave type in the V_T554S_WEB2 view and enter different eight-digit numbers for them in the Rule Group field. You can now enter different workflow templates (with and without an approval step) for each entry.
In the WEBMO feature, you query an organizational attribute that is different to each group of employees, such as the PERSK (Employee Subgroup) field. Set the two eight-digit numbers that you used to differentiate the entries in the V_T554S_WEB2 view as the return values of the feature.
