In this step, you define the methods used to control calculations in a PC schedule. Each method is based on a value type and consists of a number of processing steps that correspond to a PC operation.
The following settings determine which method (that is, processing step) is used to calculate the value of each value type:
- Method types
Method types group methods according to processing type (for example, reading, calculation, storage).
- Employee grouping
Employee groupings define the steps to be carried out for diverse employees (for example, insured persons, pensioners).
- Method variants
Method variants define the validity period in which the method is used.
Activities
To create a new method for a value type of the relevant PC schedule, you:
- Place the cursor on an existing method for the value type and choose Create.
The system creates a new method containing an undefined step.
- Define the method type, employee grouping and method variant of the method. Change the system's default values. To maintain further entries for the aforementioned aspects of a method, place the cursor on the relevant element and choose Edit -> Edit values.
- Specify the calculation you intend to perform in this step:
- Place the cursor on the processing step, and choose Change.
- Enter the line type of the processing step.
- Select the operation you want to perform in the step, and choose Enter.
- The system displays the parameters and conditions for the chosen operation.
- Define the parameter for the operation.
- Define how you want the system to react should the conditions come into effect:
- The system performs the next processing step.
- Processing branches to a processing step defined by you.
- Processing continues on a submethod level generating a return value defined by you. If there is no submethod level, processing ends.
- Define further processing steps as required.
- Choose Save.
