In this section, you define your PC (processing control) value sets. Value sets determine which values a value type can have during processing control.
The values of a value type are determined by the value set form assigned to a value set. The value set form links to two subroutines in function group RPCH that determine and check the relevant value. Depending on the definition of a value set form, the system can evaluate up to two parameters influencing the calculation of the relevant value.
Standard settings
The R/3 System contains value sets for all major application areas. You can implement these value sets without having to change them.
Note
When linking the value set form to the subroutines in function group RPCH, you must observe the following naming conventions:
<VSFRM> Name of value set form
VALUE_CHOOSE<VSFRM> Subroutine for value determination
VALUE_CHECK<VSFRM> Subroutine for value check
Activities
Check the sample SAP entries. To create your own value sets, you:
- Enter the key and description of the value set.
- Specify the value set form you intend to use.
- As you cannot create any new subroutines in the function group RPCH, you must enter at this point a value set form that already exists, and which you can parameterise as required. At present you can use '_DOM' (<-> DDIC-Domain)
- If necessary, define the parameters of the value set form.
When you define a domain (for example, 'ZDOMA') with fixed values or value tables, you can define an appropriate value set form by entering '_DOM' as the value set fomr and entering the domaine ('ZDOMA') as the first parameter.
- Choose Save.
