In this step, you create PC parameter areas that group PC parameters according to function and specification.

A parameter area also groups parameters assigned to the relevant parameter area according to common attributes. This takes place using the following key terms that define the configuration and values of a parameter:

  • Gender
  • Value type 1
  • Value type 2

Activities

To create a parameter area, you:

  1. In the field Navigation, choose Parameter areas.
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. Enter a key and a description for the parameter area.
  4. Maintain the parameter attributes of the parameters in the parameter area:
    1. Flag the parameter area, and in the field Navigation, choose PC parameter attributes.
    2. Choose New entries.
    3. Enter the value types you want the parameter to use.
    4. Define whether you want the parameter to use

  • Gender, or
  • Value types

  1. Choose Save.
