This step enables you to set up, check or delete the following data on PC parameter areas:
- Parameter areas
- Parameter area description
- Parameter area determination
- PC parameter values
- PC parameter attributes
You can use the following functions to process the aforementioned settings:
- Copy parameter area
This function copies the original areas to target areas. The system will not overwrite data that has been stored in the target area. If not already created, the copying procedure automatically creates the target area.
- Replace parameter area
This function copies all the settings created in the original area to the target area and deletes the target area. If not already created, the copying procedure automatically creates the target area.
- Delete parameter area
This function deletes all the settings maintained for a parameter area.
- Check parameter area
This functions checks that the settings maintained for a parameter area are consistent. The check is based on the foreign key dependency of the tables in which the individual settings are stored.
- Transport parameter area
This function saves the settings maintained for a parameter area to a transport request. You can choose whether you want to transport all the settings or only settings that have been modified.
Note
The system has been set up to process all the aforementioned data. To copy individual records, choose Settings -> Interactive copy -> On.
Activities
Carry out the appropriate function for your parameter area(s). To check the results, go to Extras -> Technical logs.
