In this step you determine the withdrawal age for individual pension funds. You only need to complete this step if the rule for your pension fund age limit differs from that of the statutory rule.

Activities

  1. Maintain subapplication for withdrawal age
If you want to define rules that differ from the statutory rules, you must define a separate subapplication for each rule. The system uses this subapplication to establish the link between the pension fund and the withdrawal age in the subsequent view. To name the subapplication, you can choose any character string from the customer name space.
  2. Maintain withdrawal age for pension fund
Maintain the withdrawal age in the pension fund. In the view, you can define an individual withdrawal age for each pension fund. This, however, requires that you have defined the subapplications in the previous view.
In the processing schedule, you can determine the withdrawal age of the insured person by using the operation P6; the withdrawal date, which is imlpied by the withdrawal age, is determined using operation P5. A parameter for these operations is the subapplication that is used to determine the withdrawal date. In the different plans of the same operation, enter subapplications as parameters. This way, you can assign a different rule to each plan.
Examples for using thes operations are contained in the model plans S0 and S3.

The withdrawal age for a pension fund is gender-dependent and determines that the insured person is classified as a pensioner in the month in which he or she reaches the specified age. The withdrawal age is required for creating the benefit statement. This statement contains the projected value of the benefits on the anticipated withdrawal day. A withdrawal date that is defined in the Determine Withdrawal Age for PF view is valid for all insured persons of the same gender and whose birthdate is within the interval as defined by the Earliest birth date and Latest birth date.

Example

In Switzerland up to 12/31/2000, the valid pension age for women was 62. As of 01/01/2001 the valid pension age for women is 63. This means that for employees born before the end of 1938, the pension age is 62. For birth dates in 1939, the age of 63 is valid. This scenario can be represented in the Determine PF Withdrawal Date view as follows:

Gender     Earliest BD     Latest BD     Pension age

female     01/01/1800     12/31/1938     62

female     01/01/1939     12/31/1941     63

female     01/01/1942     12/31/9999     64
