In this IMG activity, you will be shown which authorization objects are defined for the individual functions of the application in the standard system. In the SAP System, you can maintain authorizations for these objects.

Authorization objects

The following list shows which authorization objects are checked for the individual functions of the application:

Default settings

In the standard system, authorizations are provided for all authorization objects of the application.

You will find maintenance authorizations and display authorizations for the authorization objects.

The standard authorizations apply to all organizational units.

Activities

1. Check whether the standard authorizations meet your requirements.

   To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Choose the object class of the application.
You will receive a list of authorization objects.
2. Choose an authorization object.
You will receive the list of authorizations for this object.
2. You can create new authorizations according to your requirements.

   To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Choose Authorization -> Create.
2. Enter the authorization and a short text.
3. Choose a field to maintain the individual field values.
4. Save your settings.
5. Activate the new authorization.

Notes for transport

You transport authorizations as follows:

1. Display the list of authorizations.
2. Select the object class.
3. Choose Authorization -> Transport.
4. Select the authorizations you wish to transport.
5. Confirm your selections and enter the correction number.
