In this step, you determine how the SAP System should react during checks in connection with the booking or reservation of rooms. In other words, what message is to be issued when a particular data constellation occurs.
You can make the following checks:
- Check for organizer-attendee time conflict
- Check for organizer-organizer time conflict
- Check for attendee-attendee time conflict
The SAP System can issue the following types of messages during checks:
- a warning message (W)
- an error message (E)
- an information message (I)
You can also specify that no check is to be carried out (blank).
Example
Group: RAUM
Sem.abbr.: BETER
Value abbr.:W
In this example, a check is carried out when a room reservation is changed or created to see whether the organizer is already booked to hold another event on the same date and may not be able to take on a further appointment. If this is the case, a warning message is issued.
You can ignore the warning message and still book the room or change the organizer.
Standard settings
In the standard SAP R/3 System, all three checks are carried out, and a warning message is output if a conflict occurs.
Activities
- Check the standard settings.
- In the field Value abbreviation, specify for the entries "RAUM BETEI", "RAUM BETER" and "RAUM TETEI" which checks are to be carried out and what kinds of message is to be issued by the system.
