In this step, you create rooms as resources.

This includes the following individual steps:

  • You enter the rooms that are used in Room Reservation Management.
  • You specify the number of attendees the individual rooms can accommodate, that is, you maintain the following fields of infotype 1024 Capacity:
    • optimum capacity
    • maximum capacity
    • minimum capacity

      Room Reservation Management only uses optimum capacity. In the case of integration with Training and Event Management, you should enter the optimum, maximum and minimum capacity.

  • You enter the location data, that is, the address of the rooms by specifying the building address.
  • You relate the rooms
    • with the available quantity of room equipment in each case
    • with the location of the room
    • with the service that is responsible for catering.

Activities

Enter the validity start date of the room you are creating and choose Create.

  1. Enter data for the room as appropriate and save your entries.

Further notes

The settings you have made under Maintain actions affect data maintenance activities for room equipment. This step contains specifications of the infotypes that can be maintained for equipment.
