Use
Activate the IBAN functionality for the personnel administration here using the ADMIN IBAN switch.
The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is a European standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the European Committee for Banking Standards (ECBS), that identifies the bank and the account number.
Bank details are identified in various ways in different countries. With IBAN, it is possible to determine the account number, bank and country of the payee in the same way in each country, thus avoiding problems in cross-border payment transactions.
The IBAN is a combination of the country key, check digit, and country-specific account number. The IBAN can be used instead of the bank details so that an account can be uniquely identified.
In Personnel Administration, the IBAN is used in the following international infotypes:
- Bank Details (Infotype 0009)
- External Bank Transfers (Infotype 0011)
- Membership Fees (Infotype 0057)
You can create or change the IBAN directly in these infotypes using a pushbutton. The IBAN is not saved in the infotype itself, but in table TIBAN instead.
Requirements
Standard settings
The value <Blank> is set as the default; in other words, the IBAN functionality is not active.
Activities
Enter the value X if you want to use the IBAN in the HR master data.
