In this step, you set up the integration between Personnel Administration and Recruitment.

Integration between Personnel Administration and Recruitment covers the following areas:

  • transfer employee data to applicant database

You can make the settings necessary for this in the step Set up integration with Personnel Administration (feature PRELR) which is in the Recruitment implementation guide.

  • transfer applicant data to employee database

You can either initiate the transfer of applicant data to the employee database from Recruitment or from Personnel Administration.

You can make the settings necessary for this either in the Recruitment implementation guide in the step Set up integration with Personnel Administration (feature PRELI) or in this step (feature PAPLI).

Transfer of applicant data to the employee database is controlled in Recruitment by the feature PAPLI. This feature allows you to specify whether or not applicant data is available within Personnel Administration. The following scenarios are possible:

  • Applicant data is available in Personnel Administration. Recruitment and Personnel Administration are run in the same system (specification "*").

  • Applicant data is available in Personnel Administration. Recruitment and Personnel Administration are run in different systems but can be linked by RFC (specification "D").

If this is the case, you must also name the system in which the applicant data can be found.

Example:

Personnel Administration is run in the system "ABC", Recruitment is in system "DEF". In this case, you must enter the following:

&PAPLI=DDEF,

  • Applicant data is not available in Personnel Administration. Recruitment and Personnel Administration are run in different systems and cannot be linked by RFC (specification "N").
