In this step, you can set up customer-specific entry screens for the fast entry of actions.

Example

Requirements

You can only use this function for personnel action types that can be created in fast entry. You have checked in the Change Action Menu step that the desired personnel action type already exists in the Action Menu view (V_588B_M) for menu '02'. If this is not the case, set up the personnel action type.

Activities

Proceed as follows to set up a customer-specific fast entry screen for a selected personnel action type:

  1. Call up the Customizing Tool for PA42 transaction (OG42).
  2. Select the desired personnel action type in the top left frame. If necessary, make entries in the User group and Info groupmodif. fields. Finally, select Choose action.

    In the bottom left frame, a list of all infotypes that are processed in the selected personnel action type is displayed. The corresponding fields are also displayed.

    You can show the field names by choosing Technical info on.

    Ths system proposes a program name in the Program field. You can overwrite this at any time.

  3. In the right-hand screen section, you can edit the new fast entry screen:
    1. To add fields, position the cursor on the desired field in the bottom left screen section, and choose Select field.
    2. To remove fields, position the cursor on the desired field in the bottom left screen section, and choose Select field.
    3. To show fields for the individual infotypes, position the cursor on the desired infotype in the bottom left screen section, and choose Select field.
    4. To hide frames for the individual infotypes, position the cursor on the desired infotype in the bottom left screen section and choose Select field.
    5. To add a checkbox, which allows the user to display the single screen and all fields within the fast entry action for certain infotypes, position the cursor on the More information entry under the corresponding infotype in the bottom left screen section, and choose Select field.
    6. To remove a checkbox, which allows a user to hide the single screen within the fast entry action for certain infotypes, position the cursor on the More information entry under the corresponding infotype in the bottom left screen section, and choose Select field.
  4. After you have adjusted the entry screen to meet your requirements, choose ScreenPainter.

    The Screen Painter allows you to change the layout of the entry screen.

  5. Finally, save the entry screen in Screen Painter, and choose Back .
  6. In the right-hand screen section, choose Generate.
  7. Enter a program name in the Short description dialog box, and save your entry.
  8. Choose Activate.

    The entry screen is now available in the Fast Entry for Actions transaction (PA42).

Further notes

  • To deactivate an activated entry screen, choose Deactivate.
  • To access an entry screen that has already been saved, choose the entry help in the Program field to select the relevant program. Finally, choose Load.
  • If you activate an entry screen while a second entry screen with the same parameters (action, user group, info group modifier) is still active, the second screen is automatically deactivated.
