This step describes how to set the conditions for sending a message when editing an infotype record.

Depending on the infotype, you can set the following parameters:

  • In the field Type, you can specify an existing subtype.

  • In the field Field, you can specify a particular infotype field.

    A mail is sent only when a change is made to this particular field.

  • In the field FC, you can specify the processing type (Create, Change or Delete) or combination of processing types for which a mail is to be sent.

  • In the field A, you must enter the value M.

  • In the field Variable function part, enter the name of the feature which defines the mail attributes.

Standard settings

In the standard SAP system, feature M0001 is set up for field SACHP (Personnel administrator for employee master data or personnel officer for applicant master data) for infotype 0001 "Organizational Assignment".
