In this step, you specify the permissibility of Infotypes for countries.
If the Country-Dependent Subtypes indicator is set for the infotype in view T777D Infotypes - Dialog/Database Assignment, you can also specify the permissibility of Subtypes for country infotypes.
At the moment, this indicator can only be used for infotypes whose subtypes are defined in the Subtype Characteristics view (V_T591A).
In the Display HR Master Data (PA20) and Maintain HR MasterData (PA30) transactions, infotypes are checked against the country grouping of the personnel number entered. This means that only the infotypes or subtypes that are permissible for the country groupings in the Infotypes: Country-Specific Settings view (V_T582L) are displayed.
Example
The Tax Data D infotype (0012) should only be displayed for employees in the country grouping Germany.
Standard settings
The SAP standard system contains a standard setting for infotypes and is fully operable.
Whether or not you change infotype entries in this step depends entirely on your individual business needs.
Activities
- Check the SAP model entries.
- Delete the entries that you do not need.
- Create entries according to your requirements.
Creating Entries
- If there is no entry available for an infotype or subtype in the Infotypes - Country-Specific Settings view (V_T582L), then this infotype is permissible for all country groupings.
- If at least one entry with the status permitted exists for an infotype, the infotype is permitted for this country grouping but not permitted for all other country groupings. You can lock an infotype for a country grouping by entering the status not permitted. The status with warning means that you can only process the infotype with a warning.
- If you want an entry is to apply to all subtypes, enter *in the Type (subtype) field.
If you do not want an infotype or subtype to be permitted for all country groupings, for example if it is to be set as obsolete, enter a * in the Cntgrp field. The * entry in the Cntgrp field is only allowed in conjunction with the statuses "not permitted" and "with warning".

There is no entry for the Personal Data infotype (0002). This means the infotype is permitted for all country groupings.
In the Addresses infotype (0006), the subtype Guarantor (J2) is only allowed for Japan. All other subtypes are permitted for all country groupings.
The Tax Data D (0012) infotype is only permitted for country grouping Germany. Other countries cannot access this infotype.
The Test1 infotype (9000) is not allowed for Germany. All other country groupings can access this infotype.
All subtypes in the Test2 infotype (9002), except for subtype not DE (1), are allowed for Germany. All other country groupings cannot access this infotype.
