You only need to perform this step if you want to use appraisals (or must use them according to your collective agreement) to generate a wage type in the Basic pay infotype (0008).
This wage type is calculated by multiplying the total number of appraisal points by a valuation constant.
In this step, you can define the valuation constant(s).
Example
The valuation constant for each collective agreement type, pay scale area and personnel area grouping is set to 0.75 for 1995.
Requirements
You have defined collective agreement types, pay scale areas and the personnel area groupings for your appraisal criteria.
Standard settings
The standard system contains some models to help you define valuation constants.
Recommendation
You may not want appraisals to affect wages in your company.
Activities
- Check the sample entries.
- Create and delete entries according to your requirements.
- Specify the collective agreement type and pay scale area in which the the valuation constant should be used.
- Define the personnel area grouping in which the constant should be used.
- Define the validity period for the valuation constant.
- Define the valuation constant.
- Delete the entries that you do not require.

Valuation constants are used by the standard report RPIBRT00.
