In this section, you can set up the requirements for increasing wage types to an Absolute amount (variant A) on the basis of the employee pay scale structure (pay scale type and area, employee subgroup grouping for the collective agreement provision, pay scale group and level). You can either define a specific amount or calculate it by adding other wage type amounts. This total is used as the absolute amount for the wage type.
Example
The following examples relate to variant A:
- Absolute amount is predefined
You want to increase the Monthly salary basic pay wage type for all employees with a certain pay scale structure from $4200 to $4350.
- Absolute amount is calculated by totalling several wage types
You want to increase the Monthly salary basic pay wage type for all employees with a certain pay scale structure from $4200 to an absolute amount which is calculated by totalling three other wage types.
- Absolute amount is calculated using a percentage rate
You want to increase the Monthly salary basic pay wage type for all employees with a certain pay scale structure from $4200 to an absolute amount which is 60 % of the total of three other wage types.
Requirements
- Pay scale types, groups and levels must be defined.
- You should have an overview of the collective agreements that are valid in your company.

Activities
The following actions relate to the application example described in variant A:
- In the Collective agreement provision grpg. field, enter the subgroup grouping for the collective agreement provision for each pay scale group and area.
- Define the pay scale group and level for which the standard pay is to be increased.
- Enter increase variant A.
- Specify the date on which the standard pay increase is to become effective.
Proceed as follows to directly predefine an absolute amount:
- In the Wage type field, enter the wage type which is to be increased by an absolute amount.
- Enter the amount to which the wage type is to be increased in the field Amount.
- If necessary, define how the amount is to be rounded.
Proceed as follows if you wish to calculate the absolute amount by totalling several wage types:
- In the Wage type field, enter the wage type which is to be increased to an absolute amount.
- In the Reference wage type field, enter the value *XX* (for example *01*). Here, XX refers to an identifier which is entered as a partial module key in the subsequent view.
- Define how the amount is to be rounded.
- Call up the view for base wage type valuation.
- Enter module TRFXX (e.g. TRF01).
- In the Valuated wage type field, enter the wage type to be increased to an absolute amount.
- Enter the sequential number 01.
- In the Base wage type field, enter the wage type whose amount field value is to be used as the absolute amount.
- If required, assign a sequential number to other wage types for the same entry, and enter the other wage types.
Note: The Percentage field is not evaluated here. How to define a percentage is described in the following procedure.
Proceed as follows if you wish to calculate the absolute amount using a percentage rate.
- In the Wage type field, enter the wage type to be increased.
- In the Reference wage type field, enter the value *XX* (for example *01*).
- Here, XX refers to an identifier which is entered as a partial module key in the subsequent view.
- Enter the percentage rate which will evaluate the wage type amount total in the subsequent view.
- Specify an operation indicator (optional) and the minimum (operations indicator <) or maximum amount (operation indicator >).
- Define how the amount is to be rounded.
- Call up the view for base wage type valuation.
- Enter module TRFXX (e.g. TRF01).
- In the Valuated wage type field, enter the wage type to be increased to an absolute amount.
- Enter the sequential number 01.
- In the Base wage type field, enter the wage type whose amount field value is to be used as the absolute amount for wage type valuation.
- Assign a sequential number to other wage types for the same entry, and enter these other wage types.
Note: The percentage field is not evaluated here.
