In this step, you define the organizational units in your enterprise.

Example

You want to store the information, that an employee of yours works in the organizational unit "Financial accounting", in the infotype Organizational assignment.

Requirements

Get an overview of the organizational units in your company.

Standard settings

The standard SAP System contains various organizational units, which might not reflect the situation in your own company.

Recommendation

SAP recommends you use organizational units for reporting or as a preparation for implementing the Organizational Management component.

Activities

  1. Delete any entries that are not required.
  2. Create your organizational units.

Further notes

If you intend to use the HR component Organizational Management at a later stage, the maintenance of organizational units can be used as a preparation for this.
