In this step you set up the transactions of the interface within the Personnel Administration component.

Standard settings

The interface with partner systems is not fully set up in the SAP standard system. In particular the functions in the user interface of the application, which cannot be seen. If you wish to use the interface, you must enter the functions in the fast entry menu in Customizing.

Activities

  1. Create an action for the hiring transaction of new employees in the 'Personnel Action' view (T529A). The standard system contains the action RA. Copy this action to your client. In the system table 'Fast Data Entry for Actions' (T529F) this action is assigned to the dialog module RP-MASSN_AP_EXTERNAL.
  2. Maintain the reasons for the hiring action in the 'Reason for Action' view (V_T530). The standard system contains the combination RA SPACE.
  3. Insert the action RA in the 'Action Menu' view (V_588B_M) in the 'Fast Data Entry Menu' (02). This entry is not contained in the standard system.

Further notes

Only after inserting the action RA in the 'Action menu' view (V_588B_M) in the Fast Data Entry Menu (02) is it possible to call the interface via Human resources->Personnel Administration->HR master data-> Fast entry - Actions. Alternatively you can call the transaction PA48 directly.
