In the first and second activities of this step, you review, respectively, the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Planning (AAP) occupational categories that will be used in your enterprise for EEO-1 compliance reporting.
In the third and the fourth activities of this step, you maintain the Occupational Classification Groups and Occupational Classification Codes (OCC).
There are 14 standard EEO Occupational Groups:
01 Management, Business and Financial Workers
02 Science, Engineering and Computer Professionals
03 Healthcare Practitioner Professionals
04 Other Professional Workers
05 Technicians
06 Sales Workers
07 Administrative Support Workers
08 Construction and Extractive Craft Workers
09 Installation, Maintenance and Repair Craft Workers
10 Production Operative Workers
11 Transportation and Material Moving Operative Workers
12 Laborers and Helpers
13 Protective Service Workers
14 Service Workers, except Protective
Occupational Classification Codes (OCC) are categorized under these 14 EEO Occupational Groups and are linked to the EEO Category.
Standard settings
As delivered, the standard system features the nine EEO occupational categories established by the EEOC for compliance reporting purposes. For each of these nine categories, the standard system also features various subordinate AAP categories and OCC categories.
Recommendation
We recommend that you do not delete any categories found here.
Activities
- In the first activity, review the standard EEO occupational categories.
- Enter any additional categories your enterprise may require.
- Save any changes you have made, and proceed to the second activity.
- Review the standard AAP occupational categories.
- Enter any additional categories your enterprise may require.
- Save any changes you have made, and exit the transaction.
- Review the 14 EEO Occupational Groups.
- Enter any additional categories your enterprise may require.
- Save the changes you have made, and proceed to the fourth activity.
- Maintain the all the OCC Categories along with the corresponding EEO Category.
- Save the changes you have made.
- Exit the transaction.
