In this step you can check the employment tax periods (loonbelastingtijdvakken). These are the periods for which employment tax, national insurance contributions and compensatory allowance, also called premium transfer allowance, (overhevelingstoeslag) are calculated.

Standard settings

The employment tax periods are defined by the tax authorities and supplied by SAP as part of the standard delivery. The texts for the codes can be changed, but their meaning is fixed.

The following standard codes are used:

  • 0 = Special payments table
  • 1 = Quarter
  • 2 = Month
  • 3 = Week
  • 4 = 4 weeks
  • 5 = Day

Recommendation

Activities

  1. Check the standard periods supplied by SAP and modify the text if necessary.
  2. If new periods have been introduced by the tax authorities, enter them in the system.
  3. Interim changes: Delimit the old data and create a new record with the correct start date.
