In this step you can modify the default values which are displayed when a new Social Insurance infotype (0059) record is created.

The default values are defined using the feature NLSVD. A feature is basically a decision tree. A decision can be based on:

  • Personnel area
  • Personnel subarea
  • Employee group
  • Employee subgroup

Example

If an employee belongs to employee group/subgroup 1/N3 (higher level), the following values are entered:

  • SI group = 100
  • SI days = 1 (actual days)
  • SI method = 0 (cumulative retroactive accounting)
  • Code ZW = 1 (ER/EE statutory contributions)
    [Health Act]
  • Code WW = 1 (ER/EE statutory contributions)
    [Unemployment Insurance]
  • Code WAO = 1 (ER/EE statutory contributions)
    [Disablement Insurance]
  • Code Health Insur. = 0 (no statutory contributions)

(The above list of codes is not complete)

Requirements

The following codes (indicators) must be defined:

  • Contribution indicators for all SI schemes [SV-tak]
  • SI groups
  • Contribution scales for private health insurance.
  • Calculation methods for employer's contribution to private health insurance schemes.

Furthermore, your employee organizational assignment must be defined:
personnel area / personnel subarea and employee group/subgroup.

Standard settings

A default setting for the feature is supplied by SAP as part of the standard delivery.

Recommendation

Activities

  1. Check the default values used by the system based on the standard setup of the feature NLSVD (compare them with the assignment criteria you apply to your staff).
  2. Change the values if necessary.
