Use

The report Character code checker (HJPU_CHARCODE_CHECKER) checks characters in transparent table like infotypes and customizing tables specified at the selection screen based on pre-defined Character Set.

In this step, you can set up Character Set that are used as check criteria referenced by the report Character code checker.

Requirements

Standard settings

The standard system contains following two pre-defined character sets.

  • GENSEN_FD : JIS Level 1 & 2 (JIS X 028:1997)
  • SI_FD : For Social Insurance FD

Activities

  1. Check the pre-defined character set delivered from SAP to see if additional character set is required to meet your requirements
  2. Create a new character set according to your requirements.

    Note:
    When you create new character set, please follow below guidelines.
    • Name of customer specific character set must start from "Y" or "Z".
    • In the first column, enter sequential number.
    • In the second column, enter character code with 2-byte HEX code.
      If a character is a single byte, enter "00" for the first byte.
