In this step, you can define the wage type model and assign your wage types to a wage type model for pay scale base retirement allowance amount calculation.
The wage type models and assigned wage types will be used as the basis for the retirement allowance amount calculation.
The wage type model you defined in this step will be assigned to a personnel area and personnel subarea in the next step. So, you must define more than one wage type model if different models of base wage types for retirement allowance amount calculation exist in your company.
Example
The wage type M000 (Basic Pay) is used as the basis for retirement allowance amount calculation, and wage type model R1 is defined for this wage type.

Wage types have been defined in the wage type catalog.
Check which wage types are relevant tor retirement allowance amount with pay scale base calculation in your company.
Standard settings
SAP's sample wage type models have already been defined and wage types have already been assigned to models.

Check wage type model and wage types. Create any new ones you require.
NOTE:
You can define wage type model which contains wage types specifically prepared as basis of retirement allowance calculation based on pay scale. Such wage types are usually not for entering in the infotypes.
