A unit of of time/measurement should be proposed for the number.
Wage types should be valuated indirectly.

You have defined the wage type catalog and are acquainted with the charcteristics of your wage types.

- Define the country grouping for the wage type(s) you want to process.
- Select the most appropriate entry.
- Decide whether you want to copy this wage type to a new number or create new entries without copying a model wage type.
- Define the wage type name and number.
- Define the validity period for the entry.
- Define the operation indicator.
- Define the minimum and maximum amount of the wage type.
- If you want to edit a wage type for the Basic Pay infotype (0008), specify whether the amount of this wage type should be included in the basic pay total.
- Define the unit of time/measurement and the minimum and maximum default number.
- Define the input combination for number and amount.
- If required, set up indirect valuation and define the characteristics.
Indirect valuation is possible for the following infotypes: - Basic Pay (0008)
- Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014)
- Additional Payments (0015)
- Wage Maintenance (0052)
- If you intend to use Time Management, specify whether the wage type is a bonus or basic hourly pay.
- Delete any unnecessary wage types.
Further notes
Define only those wage types which are to be entered in infotypes; wage types which are generated during the payroll accounting do not need to be defined.
