In this step you will group your employees, and define which appraisal criteria should be used for each group.
To perform this task you will have to modify (or depending on your needs, newly create) features' source code.
There are basically two groups of features you will have to modify, as follows:
- a main feature, in which you will broadly group your employees, and assign a subfeature to be executed according to each group.
- a subfeature (called from the main feature), in which you will further group your employees and assign an appraisal modifier to each group.
Appraisal modifiers are codes under which you can group together the appraisal features you want to use for evaluating each group.
The set up process has two main steps, as follows:
- In the main feature, group your employees according to personnel area, personnel subarea, employee group, and employee subgroup, assigning a subfeature to each group.
- In each of the subfeatures assigned above, group your employees into pay scale type, area and group, assigning an appraisal modifier to each group.
Example
You may want to define different appraisal criteria to employees in a given employee subgroup (subgroup 'J0') and that are in one of two specific pay scale groups (pay scale group G01 and G02).
Requirements
You should be familiar with the creation and maintenance of features.
