In this step, you adjust the SAPscript form to meet your requirements. This adjustment relates to the completion of new text elements or to the layout format.
Of particular importance to the layout are the changes regarding the paragraph and character format, the Customizing settings regarding the sequence of the text elements, and the constants in the default text element of the window MAIN.

Activities
Adjust the SAPscript form.
How do you change a text element?
- Call up the initial screen Form Painter: Initial and enter the name of the form you wish to edit.
- Select the option Window and call up the change mode.
You arrive at the screen Change form window. - Double click on the window MAIN.
- Select Edit -> text elements and the appropriate symbol.
You now branch into the window MAIN.
You can - amend an available text element
(by inserting an extra field from an existing infotype into the text element) - search for a text element and subsequently change text or add symbols.
- amend a new text element
As a rule, you amend new text elements to display fields of an additional infotype on the HR master data sheet.
Use the available entries as a model.
To display an infotype field on the HR master data sheet, you must enter the symbol names that you have defined as long text, set the SAPscript tabulator, and enter the accompanying full text to display the field contents.
You must format text element changes or new entries according to SAPscript conventions. Read the SAPscript documentation in the SAP library.
- End the session by returning to the screen change form window.
- Save your entries and activate the changed form by selecting Form -> Activate with the corresponding symbol.
Further notes
Note the following additional aspects when formatting the SAPscript form:
- Every page of the form must contain a window Main as the page window.
- Only the window Main contains the window text elements.
All other windows contain global symbols only. - In the page window, you define the first page and all subsequent pages.
You must name the start page FIRST.
