In this step, you define which employee attributes are read from which infotype and to which SAPscript symbols these employee attributes are assigned.
You assign the employee attributes to symbol names using their attribute class.
In the standard system, employee attributes only exist in the infotypes Fiscal Data CH (0038), Additional Organisational Assignment CH (0039) and Basic Data PF (0278).
Apart from the original attribute values, customizing the employee attribute values generates further symbols, such as:
- field names (short and longtext on the attribute class)
- the attribute texts
Example
Requirements
Standard settings
When you assign the symbol <SYM> to an attribute class, it generates the following SAPscript symbols that can be used in the SAPscript form of the HR master data sheet:
- <SYM> Attribute class
- <SYM>_nn Attribute (nn = 01,...,08)
- <SYM>_nn_TXT Text on attributes (nn = 01,...,08)
- <SYM>_SLS Short text on the attribute class
- <SYM>_SLL Long text on the attribute class
As a rule, there is only one attribute per attribute class. There may be more attributes available, depending on the cardinality of the attribute class.
Recommendation
Activities
- In the dialog field specify work area, enter the identification code of the master data sheet that you want to process.
- Select New Entries.
- Specify the required infotype.
In this step, due to selection conditions, you can only define infotypes with employee attributes.
- Store the output procedure I1 (output procedure for employee attributes).
- Select the line that contains the new entry and choose employee attributes.
- Store an attribute class, a symbol name, and the text
element, in which you want the employee attribute to be displayed.
- Choose save.
